Homes, pubs, and our very own capital city are currently enjoying one of the most exciting sporting events in the world, watching as 10,000 athletes compete against the best in the world.

A week ago competitors from 204 countries arrived at the Olympic village and since then have appeared on TV in hundreds of events, from the sprints to the marathon as part of the London 2012 Olympics. Some Olympians are better known than others like Golden girl Jessica Ennis, while some have already won surprise gold medals like Greg Rutherford in the long jump, but their home countries have all been watching proudly as they sweat it out to claim gold medal victories.

FA Cup Final Day – Cultural Differences Between the North and South

Passions are set to run high (today) when Liverpool and Chelsea meet in the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.

A sea of red and blue will descend on the home of the beautiful game as Kenny Dalglish’s Reds cross the invisible line between north and south England, to face the capital’s Chelsea to secure a win in this historic cup.
